CLUB TROPHIES

A proposal was put forward at the Committee Meeting in June 2010 to end the award of returnable trophies to Club Members starting with the 2011 Show.  This proposal was placed on the 2011 AGM agenda for discussion/approval by the membership, and was subsequently accepted with no objections at the Special General Meeting on 26th June 2011.   This will allow trophies to be returned to the original donors or be sold for the benefit of the Club Welfare Fund.

A full list of all the Club trophies is published on the Trophies page of this website.

As a result of the decision at the Special Meeting, members now have 6 weeks from that date (i.e. until 8th August 2011) to claim any trophies they or their family may have donated to the Club in the past.  All enquiries regarding trophy reclaim should be directed either to Dr Katie Hewitt (katie.hewitt2@googlemail.com)/ tel. 0115 8753023 or Bill Buxton (dbtimaling@aol.com)/ tel. 0115 9211308.

Any trophies not claimed by 8th August 2011 will be available for members to purchase at the 2012 Show if they wish.  All proceeds will go to the Club Welfare Fund for the benefit of rescued cats.

CLUB AWARDS

The Committee would like to remind members that the Club offers commemorative awards to their cats on being made up to Champion, Premier, Grand Champion or Grand Premier.  These may be claimed by sending a large SAE to our Show Support Secretary, Peter Chaffe (please refer to the Show Support Page for details).   At our Committee meeting in June the Committee approved additional awards for cats attaining Imperial Grand titles. These will take the form of more elaborate rosettes which will include a custom made centre engraved with the name and title of the cat.  Any member who qualifies for such a rosette should contact Peter Chaffe,  giving all the relevant details of the title won and their cat.
